Currency Design
completed in 2003
The intent of this currency concept was to promote the United States space program as a rallying point of pride for all Americans, regardless of their political affiliation. I decided to draw attention to recent and current projects that are less well-known than the historic moon landing or the space shuttle missions. The illustrations are from the NASA website.

Back of the $10 Dollar Bill (all bill backs are similarly treated)
Large numerals are quickly and easily identifiable. Full color images, micro-type, and fine-lined textures discourage counterfeiting. The serial numbers are printed (theoretically) using a patented anti-counterfeiting ink which contains a unique DNA “fingerprint.” It’s difficult to appreciate the detail in these bills at the size I have them here.
