Games.com
completed in 2000
Games.com is an online, multi-player gaming website where visitors can participate in web-based versions of Hasbro classic board games like Monopoly, Boggle and Scrabble. The target audience is anyone who likes to play games — teenagers to adults. Inspired by the friendly, curvy silhouettes of plastic board game pieces, I enclosed the content within rounded shapes in a bright, playful palette. The content containers title each section while doubling as primary navigation. The design of the site was strictly governed by the spatial requirements of the software used to run the games, required advertising space, and the need to keep the site as fast and accessible to as many users as possible.

I undertook this project as an employee of ZCom (now defunct). You can still play games at the site today. Components of the original design are still in place, but are inconsistently implemented.
